After closing for three months for renovations, Guthrie’s is now open again.
“We basically remodeled the whole store with new equipment and a different look,” said Will Garrett, who co-owns the restaurant with Grady Williams.
In the six years the restaurant has been on the mountain, Garrett said they realized its dining area was too large, so they’ve closed off a portion of the space – now used for storage – taking the square footage down from 3,400 square feet to 1,500 square feet.
“It makes it more of an intimate store,” Garrett said.
The restaurant also has a fresh paint job and new accessories adorning the walls of the dining room, which has a new entrance.
