A series of grand-reopening events begin Labor Day to introduce the newly redesigned Regal Cinemas Hamilton Place 8, 2000 Hamilton Place Blvd.
The theater now features king-size recliners with electric controls, digital projection in every auditorium, reserve seating and first-run movies.
Among other amenities are specialty food items (appetizers, entrees and desserts) as well as traditional movie snacks, Real D 3-D projection systems, fully automated ticket purchasing at Regal Express kiosks, an app that can send mobile tickets directly to a smartphone and a loyalty program that rewards frequent moviegoers.
During preview events, Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 5-7, movie tickets, popcorn and soft drinks will cost $3 each, with all proceeds benefiting local charities.
The grand opening is set for Friday, Sept. 9, with a free small popcorn and fountain drink with each paid admission available through Thursday, Sept. 15.
