Saturday, Sept. 17, the Harrison Ruritan Club will once again partner with the East Ridge Cloggers to put on the annual Kornfield Kounty Jamboree.

The “Hee Haw”-inspired variety show is free, as is a meal offered through the Ruritan’s kitchen beginning at 5 p.m., prior to the show at 7 p.m. However, donations to support the service club will be accepted,

All funds raised through the night of short skits, dancing and bluegrass music will go straight to the organizations and people the local Ruritans assist.

“As a clogging group, we have been putting on shows for years and we’ve always put on a free community show at least once a year,” said East Ridge Cloggers instructor and event coordinator Hilda Griffin. “The whole program is just a lot of fun. We’re also proud to be able to help the Ruritans help the community.”

For more information, visit harrisonruritanclub.webs.com/contactus.htm or call 344-4828. The Ruritan Club is located at 5637 Highway 58.

“It’s always standing-room-only,” Griffin warned, “so come early.”
