Quilts can be found hanging from rafters and pews at the Collinsville Quilt Walk, an annual walking tour of Collinsville, Ala., that showcases not only quilts but the town's historic homes and churches.

The event returns from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 (all times are Central), beginning at the Collinsville Public Library, 151 Main St.

There are rest areas along the way, and trams traveling between some of the stops.

Proceeds go to the library building fund, which has received more than $40,000 since local sewing group The Sew 'N' Sews started the fundraiser in 2002.

Tickets are $10.
