The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men’s basketball team has had recent success with guards from Ridgeway High School in Memphis.
With a pair soon to be headed out the door, they will soon bring another one in.
Jalen Crutcher, a 6-foot-3 point guard, made his non-binding pledge to the Mocs program Wednesday evening, becoming the team’s fifth commitment for the 2017 signing class.
“First off I want to thank God for everything he has done for me and I want to thank all the coaches that have recruited me but I will be committing to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga #ReptheC #GoMocs,” Crutcher tweeted Wednesday evening.
The Rivals three-star prospect had offers from Massachusetts and Murray State, among others.
Crutcher plays at the same high school as current Moc guards Johnathan Burroughs-Cook and Greg Pryor. He joins high school senior guard Terry Nolan, Jr. and junior-college transfer wing Eric Turner as players incoming next season.
Wing Andrew Fleming, a transfer from Iowa, and forward Makinde London, who played last season at Xavier, are already on campus and will be eligible next season.
