Calhoun, Ga., resident Keith McFarland compares his impulse purchase of a Mamiya medium-format camera to tumbling down the proverbial rabbit hole. He was instantly hooked. Part of his home is now a darkroom. He develops his own film and uses one of two enlargers to make silver gelatin prints.
McFarland is displaying the photography he has created with that camera in an exhibit at Harris Arts Center, 212 W. Wall St. in Calhoun, Ga.
An opening reception will be held on Sunday, Aug. 27, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the arts center. The photographer will give a gallery talk at 3:30 p.m. and will be available for questions and commentary throughout the reception.
