Comedian Dave Chappelle, who shot to stardom in Comedy Central’s Emmy-nominated “Chappelle’s Show,” has sold out two shows Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Tivoli Theatre, 709 Broad St.
The sketch comedy show ran for two complete seasons in 2003-04 and a “Lost Episodes” third season in 2006, making Chappelle famous for his impersonations of Rick James and Prince.
Most recently, he hosted an episode of “Saturday Night Life” and signed a deal for three Netflix specials.
His stop in Chattanooga is one of several around the South.
Showgoers are advised that a “no cellphones” policy will be strictly enforced, with all who enter subject to a pat-down and wanding and placement of their phone in a locked pouch.
