Trump’s harassment threatens judiciary

During the presidential campaign, candidate Donald Trump could not fire U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel for adjudicating a lawsuit against Trump University. But at a rally in San Diego, Trump cast aspersions on the Indiana-born judge by questioning the judge’s “Mexican heritage.” That public denunciation gave evidence that Trump would attack the American judicial system.

On Jan. 30, President Trump fired Acting U.S. Attorney General Sally Yates for refusing to obey a presidential order she considered unlawful.

After federal Judge James Robart issued a temporary restraining order halting Trump’s 120-day ban on immigrants, the president tweeted in part: “The opinion of this so-called judge is ridiculous and will be overturned.”

The American people must keep vigilance as to the sanctity of our court system. The 1961 film, “Judgment at Nuremberg,” offers an appalling view of how Adolf Hitler applied pressure to individual judges. Fear caused the German court system to crumble. If Trump’s habitual method of harassing all opposing thought spreads from individual judges throughout the American legal system, it is possible that even the most courageous of judges might wilt and abandon his hold on truth and justice within our judicial system.

The verdict is in; Trump a sociopath

A minority of Americans gave Trump the presidency. Throughout the campaign and since the inauguration, all of the “talking heads” and the rest of us have been trying to figure him out. Each opinion steers clear of the obvious. Our president has a personality disorder. He is a full blown sociopath. The diagnosis can be made by checking off a variety of traits/behavior. The following is a list of findings for diagnosing a sociopath. See for yourself:

Fails to conform to social norms; deceitful/manipulative; irritable/aggressive; constantly irresponsible; no remorse after mistreating another; glib or superficial charm (to seduce); abnormal need for stimulation; grandiose sense of self worth; charms others into dangerous ventures; failure to take responsibility for his own errors; shallowness of emotions; no trace of empathy – loveless marriages; absence of conscience; pathological liar

Now we know. Now we are mortified, embarrassed, scared and angry. Now we wonder if there are any patriots to be found who will confront this ever dangerous president until he is forced of office?
