McCamish would be asset on City Council
City Council District 2 is a very competitive race. I know both candidates and they are fine individuals. However, I know one very well and would like to let you know about him. I have had a long career in management and, over the course of time, have encountered truly exceptional people. Mickey McCamish is one of these people. I am fortunate to call him friend and mentor.
Mickey’s strength is management. He works extremely well with everyone but most importantly, he is a problem solver. Mickey is a hero to me. He worked his way up the Navy ladder to become a captain. He served during Vietnam, a time not revered by most Americans. Today, he continues to serve veterans through the Southeast Tennessee Veteran’s Coalition.
When Mickey moved home to Chattanooga, he did not retire, he jumped right in. I asked him to run our Web.com event, the Chattanooga Classic. Currently, he coordinates all of the sponsorships for Friends of the Festival. Mickey also runs the Epilepsy Foundation, a cause near and dear to his heart.
