Linebacker Monty Rice commits to Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia picked up a football commitment Monday from Monty Rice, a 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker prospect from Madison, Ala.

Rice gave a nonbinding pledge to the Bulldogs less than a month after committing to LSU. The three-star prospect is rated the No. 21 inside linebacker prospect nationally in the 247Sports.com composite rankings.

The Bulldogs now have 22 commitments and one signee – Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College offensive tackle D’Marcus Hayes – in their 2017 class.
