The Georgia Bulldogs received their eighth football commitment for the 2018 signing class Thursday, from tight end John FitzPatrick of the Marist School in Atlanta.
FitzPatrick, a 6-foot-6, 230-pounder, is rated by 247Sports.com as the nation's No. 34 tight end prospect. The Bulldogs did not sign a tight end in their 2017 class after landing five-star recruit Isaac Nauta in 2016.
Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Louisville are among other teams that have offered early scholarships to FitzPatrick.
