LOOKOUTS 6, BISCUITS 3 (10)
Sunday’s recap: After taking 21 innings early Sunday morning to topple Birmingham at AT&T Field, the Chattanooga Lookouts only needed 10 during their series opener in Montgomery. Jonathan Rodriguez singled to left field in the 10th to score Levi Michael and Max Murphy to break the 3-3 tie, and Ryan Walker added some insurance by drawing a bases-loaded walk. Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with two walks and raised his average to .318 for the Lookouts, who improved to 69-37 overall and 27-9 in the second half. Chattanooga trailed 3-0 until the seventh inning, when T.J. White was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Murphy scored on a wild pitch. Rodriguez tied the game in the eighth with a single to left that scored Alex Perez.
Next up: Game two of a five-game series in Montgomery is tonight at 8:05 EDT.
Pitchers: Kohl Stewart (4-5, 3.47) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Logan Darnell (3-1, 3.19) scheduled for the Biscuits.
