The Chattanooga Area Flute Society Flute Choir will present a concert titled “Suite Symphony” at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 822 Belvoir Ave.
The one-hour program features symphonic music transcribed for flute choir/orchestra, including the Capriol Suite by Peter Warlock, transcribed by Nancy Nourse, and the Royal Fireworks Suite by George F. Handel, transcribed by CAFS director Nora Kile.
Select movements from other orchestral works will also be performed, including the Finale from F.J. Haydn’s Symphony No. 45, known as the “Farewell” Symphony and the “Nimrod” Variations from Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations.
