It’s almost summertime, and the living should be easy. In lieu of hot stoves and dirty dishes, why not make meal-time easy, too?
Last year in the Times Free Press’ Best of the Best awards, Soho Hibachi in Fort Oglethorpe was voted “Best Carryout,” an accolade also awarded to Soho’s Hixson counterpart in 2015. Over the years, both locations have racked up an array of other awards, including “Best Japanese” and “Best Meal for the Money.”
So, why is Soho top-ranked? According to manager Candy Lin, it’s because Soho offers a good alternative to expensive Japanese steakhouses. All of Soho’s dishes are prepared by experienced hibachi chefs – using the highest quality ingredients to produce expertly crafted traditional hibachi, teriyaki and special noodle dishes similar to those found at more expensive Japanese steakhouses – but for half the price and ready in the half the time.
Perhaps best of all are Soho’s enormous portions, which make the restaurant an ideal spot to feed the whole family – particularly when that means forgoing hot stoves and dirty dishes. So go ahead; have no regrets and give in to the temptation to carry out.
