Hard to ignore Trump character

Considering the character of President Trump, it is difficult to ignore his persistent and insistent false statements, misinformation and obfuscation.

Trump claimed on Sept. 11, 2001, he saw “thousands of Muslims” celebrating in New Jersey. Not one demonstrator was observed there.

Trump: “They lied. The Bush administration knew Iraq had no WMD.” So Trump, without a shred of evidence, in effect accused Bush and Cheney of being warmongers if not criminals.

More recently, Trump insisted illegals were bused into New Hampshire to vote against him. Former New Hampshire GOP Chair Fergus Cullen said Trump’s claim was baseless. His assertion that fraud prevented him from receiving the popular vote is ridiculous.

Trump: “Look what is happening in Sweden,” claiming immigrant terror. Nothing like that occurred in Sweden, prompting former Swedish Prime Minister Bildt to ask, “What has Trump been smoking?”

Then he claimed President Obama wiretapped Trump Tower.

Trump promised to keep U.S. Attorney Bharara. Fired him.

The spontaneity with contrivance of Trump’s misinformation and contradictions already far exceeds that of any president, including Nixon.

Democrats won’t let go of Trump victory

It’s always amazing how only a few TFP letter writers have any idea what actually goes on behind the big Democrat curtain surrounding the Washington, D.C., swamp. President Trump is trying to drain this filthy obstacle to common decency. There are several glaring examples:

Democrat failures include smearing Judge Neil Gorsuch, defending the Obamacare disaster and promoting a Trump-Russia alliance. (If Russia helped Trump, was it also skillful enough to engineer thousands of victories for U.S. senators, congressmen, governors, state legislators, local candidates, etc? Ridiculous.)

But Obama’s not going away; it’s “legacy” time. And because these liberals operate with a complete lack of any conscience, their ultimate goals are always predictable. So why are liberal strong-arm bullies believed by so many? Is it ignorance, or possibly a successful attempt to ignore the elephant in the room: Trump won; you lost; get over it!

Real American won’t disrespect the flag

The American flag has become the most distinguished symbol of freedom, liberty and of many other beliefs put forth into this country. Everything we stand for goes wherever our flag flies. Recently, the burning of (or even the kneeling at) flags has been a popular method of protest. Should it be acceptable? Every flag is woven so a faithful patriot can fly it proudly, so that every man who sees it is reminded why he is thankful for his freedom.

Too many Americans have laid down everything God gave them on the battlefield so our flag might continue its incessant flight. Burning the flag implies there is no hope for the country, no hope for everything we’ve worked centuries for. It implies our way of life will never work. The same can be said of kneeling during the anthem. An American will not disrespect the flag because an American does not believe this. Americans still stand during the anthem because they still hope. A protester must still hope because that is why they protest.

Our flag is too precious to be shown disrespect, so please keep it flying, even at half staff for protesting.
