Ten singers will compete tonight, May 4, to become the first Scenic City Sing-Off winner.

The Chattanooga Girls Choir board of directors is presenting the live vocal competition at The Church on Main, 1601 Rossville Ave., beginning at 6:30 p.m. The $35 ticket includes hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine in addition to the vocal entertainment.

Nine of the singers were chosen following a round of auditions on April 8. They are Amy Calfee, Leah Carroll, Caroline Dale, Kandis Guice, Ivy Hall, Alyssa Land, Hannah Morse, Spencer Morse and Cherish Varlack.

The 10th spot went to the Internet Favorite contestant, whose YouTube audition video received the most likes. That competitor was Sarah Grayce Crouch.

Each finalist will perform live before the audience and panel of judges. The judges will be Robin Grant, Devante Williams and Sean Phipps.

Audience members also will have a chance to cast their votes for their favorite with dollars after each performance. The contestant with the most cash will win a $250 People’s Choice prize. The grand-prize winner will receive $1,000.
