The Figurines Burlesque – the troupe that brought audiences “Bewitched & Bothered”, “7 Deadly Fairytales” and “Babes In Toyland” – will take audiences to Oz from a different perspective when it presents “Burlesque: Enchantress of Oz” on Saturday, May 20, at Barking Legs Theater.
In this version, there is Wizard, no Dorothy nor friendly trio of friends skipping off to the Emerald City. There is, however, a Dorian Gale, an Enchantress and a cast of characters who want to get their hands on those ruby shoes. The production will feature song, dance and the art of striptease.
The cast includes Keldon Flint as Dorian Gale, Sarah Platt as The Chronicler, Terry Richer as Scarecrow, Tiffany Woodard as The Lioness, Ajai McReynolds as The Tinwoman and Kali Miester as The Enchantress Of Oz.
The show is written and directed by Garrell Woods, and sponsored by N2 The Woods Productions.
