Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal is holding a news conference this morning to outline the state’s response and recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
As the storm tracked north Monday, three people were killed in Georgia and flooding and outages were reported across the state.
School was canceled in communities around the state, and more than 1.2 million customers there were without power this morning.
