Freshman guard Jonathan Bryant has decided to transfer out of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga basketball program, according to multiple reports.

The 6-foot-3 Bryant played in 24 games off the bench for the Mocs, averaging nine minutes per game. He averaged 1.9 points and 1.3 rebounds in his lone season, which was highlighted by an eight-point, seven-rebound performance in an overtime loss to The Citadel on Jan. 13 in Charleston, S.C.

Bryant, who has a strong build and weighs over 200 pounds, showed his versatility in the early part of the Southern Conference schedule, playing both on the wing and in the paint when the team was decimated with injuries. In a five-game stretch to start league play, he had at least three rebounds on three occasions and grabbed six rebounds in 10 minutes against East Tennessee State.

A former two-star guard according to VerbalCommits.com, Bryant becomes the third player to leave the program since the season ended. Nat Dixon has decided to graduate and transfer and has been in contact with Wake Forest, Xavier, Creighton, Memphis and St. Bonaventure, per a Rivals.com report. Junior forward Makinde London announced his intention to declare for the NBA draft.

With Bryant leaving, the Mocs are down to 12 scholarship players for the 2018-19 season.
