The breakfast, brunch and lunch spot is now open at the 300 Cherokee commercial project and offers traditional breakfast items as well as “more unique” meals, such as its power quinoa bowl, avocado toasts and BLT benedit. First Watch is now offering a spring menu too, which includes an Ancient Grains bowl described as “eye-popping” by Nadim Jubran, marketing and business development manager for Knoxville-based Capstone Concept LLC.

The Cherokee Boulevard eatery is the second First Watch to open in Chattanooga. The group has operated one on Gunbarrel Road in East Brainerd since 2016, and they have leased a space in Hixson to open a third at the end of this year, Jubran said.

The restaurant is a franchise but brings a bit of a local flair with an “urban farm look” and tables made of East Tennessee barn wood. Inside the 3,400-square-foot development customers will find farm tables and a large mural created by Knoxville-based artist Curtis Glover as an “ode to downtown and the North Shore,” Jubran says.

“The community there seems so passionate about everyone succeeding,” he said. “We felt welcome from the beginning.”

The new restaurant is anchored by an 8,000-square-foot brewery with tasting room and bar for the Heaven and Ale Brewing Co. First Watch can hold about 137 people with four patio tables available, as well.

Jubran said the location will employ roughly 30 full-time employees.

The North Shore location is open from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every day.
