A man was killed in a motorcycle crash that closed westbound lanes on Hixson Pike Tuesday morning, Chattanooga police say.
Thomas Allison, 55, was traveling north in the right lane along the 5100 block of Hixson Pike just before 5:55 a.m. when 86-year-old James Webb started turning left to go into Karl’s Restaurant.
Allison was thrown from his motorcycle and declared deceased at the scene.
Webb said he never saw Allison before making his turn. He stayed at the scene and has been cooperating with investigators, the release stated.
The case is still under investigation.
