Mentoring training scheduled
LAFAYETTE, Ga. – Anyone interested in mentoring soon-to-be-released Georgia prison inmates can attend a training program at Second Baptist Church on Feb. 24. The event will help potential mentors learn how to work with inmates, preparing them for life on the outside.
Sponsored by the LaFayette Area Corrections Task Force, the program will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with lunch provided. The church is located at 500 W. Main St. in LaFayette, Ga.
