Faithful friends Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore and that lovable bear Winnie-the-Pooh can be counted on to warm Christopher Robin's heart – and the audience's too – when the Chattanooga Theatre Centre brings to the stage "The House at Pooh Corner."

Adapted from the A.A. Milne children's classic for the stage by Bettye Knapp, the CTC Youth Theatre production opens Friday, Feb. 16, and continues through Feb. 25.

As the story opens, young Christopher Robin has called a "mergency" meeting. He has decided to run away with his friends Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger and the gang. The cause of their journey is the dark, mysterious threat that Christopher Robin is to be sent away to "Education." Nobody knows exactly what or where that is, and if he's sent to such a distant place, what can his friends possibly do without him? So it's generally agreed that they'll run away.

But as the situation becomes clearer, Christopher Robin isn't quite so sure that running away is the answer.

Guest director James Ogden, who played the title character in last summer's "Peter and the Starcatcher," makes his CTC directing debut with "The House at Pooh Corner." Two casts of young actors will perform on alternating days.

The Heffalump Cast includes Bree Brantley (Early Rabbit), Aiden DiChiacchio (Christopher Robin), Annabelle Hill (Rabbit), Lyric Houston (Winnie-the-Pooh), Kristin Lowery (Owl), Ian Parten (Tigger), Sarah Rad (Piglet), Natalie Shelburne (Late Rabbit), Sydney Terfloth (Kanga), Emma Wesolowski (Eeyore) and Juliana Williams (Roo).

The Woozle Cast includes Johnathan Ross Adams (Christopher Robin), Ella Kate Antanaitis (Late Rabbit), Savvy Betro-Gross (Tigger), Hannah Carter (Kanga), Charlie Clevenger (Roo), Rachel Lowe (Piglet), Irie Olsson (Rabbit), Maya Scribner (Owl), Madeline Warren (Winnie-the-Pooh), Kynnedy Watson (Early Rabbit) and Cora Grace Williams (Eeyore).

Will Tutor and Olivia Kelly are the student stage managers.
