Bonuses given now are ‘psychological trick’
This newspaper ran a long list of companies giving bonuses after the Trump tax cut was passed.
I hope people aren’t too dim to figure out a bonus is a one-time thing that may never happen again. A bonus doesn’t add to the hourly wage rate your employer has to pay every pay period. In fact, I would be mad. Companies have yet to receive any benefit from the tax cut, which means they had the money all along but refused to increase wages.
Employees are being jerked around; I think bonuses right now are a psychological trick. I will keep the list and refuse to do business with any of those companies.
