Still thrilled by ‘Hill’
Democratic Party leaders wish she would just fade away, but fringe leftists continue to bring up the name of Hillary Clinton and the possibility that she might – please, please, please – become president.
Once heralded news magazine Newsweek recently passed along one way that could happen in a news article – a news article – titled “Hillary Clinton Could Still Become President If Russia Probe Finds Conspiracy Evidence,” citing Harvard law professor Lawrence Lessig.
Here’s what he imagines: First, special counsel Robert Mueller apparently would find conspiracy charges against President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. They would summarily be impeached and removed from office. New President Paul Ryan, the former speaker of the House, would then do the “right thing,” nominate Clinton as his vice president, step aside and allow her to assume the presidency.
“This is one way it could happen,” Lessig said. “But that’s very different from saying I think it will happen, or should happen, or [that] the evidence is there for it to happen.”
