Two roads in Polk County closed Saturday afternoon after sustaining rain damage.
Rain washed away part of Upper River Road past Hitch Drive, leaving a large hole in the roadway.
Benton Springs Road going toward Chilhowee Mountain is also closed due to a washout past the road’s switchback, according to Polk County 911. All houses on the road remain accessible.
