Highway maintenance on southbound Interstate 75 near Exit 1 and a cargo fire on northbound I-75 near Franks Road are severly tying up traffic.
Tennessee Department of Transportation cameras show the cargo fire on the right shoulder of the highway is out but firefighters and police are still on the scene and traffic is down to one lane heading north.
Meanwhile, I-24 is backed up near the I-75 split and vehicles are bumper to bumper southbound on I-75 where the right lane of I-75 is closed for maintenance.
Motorists are advised to use extra care or use other routes.
