A double stabbing in Bradley County led to charges of attempted first-degree murder, according to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to a home on Bell Road SE shortly before midnight Saturday and found two people with stab wounds. Both were taken to the hospital, sheriff’s office spokesman Brian Graves said in a news release.

The deputies also found two females outside the address, and one said the deputies were looking for her son, Thomas Burdin, 22, of Cross Street in Cleveland.

The woman, whose name was not released, said family members had been holding Burdin down in the back yard of the Cross Street home because he was acting crazy and threatening to harm himself, Graves said.

Burdin is being held without bond in the Bradley County Jail.
