The Chattanooga Police Department announced in a news release the arrests of two suspects in connection with nearly 20 business burglaries in Chattanooga and East Ridge, as the suspects were taken into custody earlier this week.

The burglaries were committed from early January through March 18.

A majority of the burglaries occurred at businesses along Brainerd Road, Rossville Boulevard, and East 23rd Street. Seven of those burglaries were reported on Brainerd Road with one business targeted three separate times.

In each case, the suspects forced entry into the closed establishment after regular business hours taking cash from registers.

The investigation revealed the suspects forced entry into all businesses by breaking a window or the glass front door.

During the interview process, both suspects admitted to committing multiple burglaries and were ultimately transferred to the Hamilton County Jail.

Aaron Ward, 23, and Christopher Goode, 23, are both charged with multiple counts of vandalism, theft of property, and burglary of business.

The investigation is still on-going to determine if any other burglary instances can be connected to the two suspects.

There were no reported injuries in any of the incidents.
