KNOXVILLE – Tennessee football picked up its second verbal commitment in the 2019 recruiting class on Friday.

Jackson Lowe, a tight end from Cartersville, Ga., announced his commitment to the Volunteers, choosing Tennessee over offers from several other Power Five conference schools.

Lowe is considered a three-star prospect by 247Sports and Rivals. Verbal commitments are non-binding. Lowe’s first opportunity to sign a national letter of intent will come in December.

The 6-foot-5 tight end from Cartersville High School joins offensive lineman Jackson Lampley as the players verbally committed to Tennessee’s 2019 signing class.
