NASHVILLE - Tennessee Education Lottery President and CEO Rebecca P. Hargrove has been named Corporate Social Responsibility Committee chair of the World Lottery Association.

Calling it "an incredible opportunity," Hargrove said in a news release the committee "encompasses a broad range of initiatives to reinforce the vital position lotteries hold in our communities, and I'm proud to be part of the development and maintenance of such programs."

According to Hargrove's office, the World Lottery Association "has been a pioneer in steering responsible gaming practices - a top priority in Tennessee and around the world."

Tennessee achieved a prestigious Level 3 Certification from WLA as part of the organization's responsible gaming framework.

Ms. Hargrove is the founding chair of "Women's Initiative in Lottery Leadership," another Corporate Social Responsibility Committee initiative aimed at increasing mentoring opportunities in the lottery industry for women.

"From partnering with schools and participating in food bank drives to setting business goals for minority business participation, ensuring staff diversity and instilling a green workplace, lotteries can provide benefits to the community in addition to the beneficiary programs they were created to fund," Hargrove said.

Tennessee Education Lottery's social responsibility programs include responsible gaming, community outreach, an anti-litter program and inclusion and diversity initiatives.
