Dalton Ghost Tours is opening its 15th season with a special offer for mothers: free admission for ghost tours on Friday and Saturday, May 11-12, at 8 p.m. The family can spend time with Mom exploring the city’s paranormal hot spots and hearing true tales of terror sure to send chills up and down their spines. All other guests on the walks will pay $15.

An experienced tour guide will lead these “spirited” 90-minute tours, pointing out some of the places written about in Connie Hall-Scott’s book, “Haunted Dalton, Georgia.”

Tours will visit sites of hangings and lynchings, and learn the tale of the fireman who perished inside Dalton Little Theatre. Then there’s the giggling ghost children and the lady in white at the historic Wink Theatre, the mischievous gambler who met his end at the bottom of a staircase inside a speakeasy and the active spirit of a young woman who took her life at Hotel Dalton.
