The lead investigator working a fire that severely damaged two businesses on Lee Highway earlier this year has determined that the fire was intentionally set, according to a Chattanooga Fire Department news release.

The CFD says no other details will be provided at this time as the investigation continues.

The 2-alarm blaze happened about 12:15 a.m. on Jan. 30 in the 6200 block of Lee Highway and left General Appliance Warehouse and Summitt Pianos with heavy losses.
