Ruritans' car show rolling into Riverpark

The Harrison Ruritan Club's Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show is set for Sunday, May 27, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Tennessee Riverpark, 4301 Amnicola Highway.

In addition to 21 classes of vehicles, this popular event includes an 11 a.m. church service, 50/50 drawing, door prizes, swap meet and concessions for sale.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at noon, when judging begins. There is a $25 entry fee the day of the show and the first 150 to register will receive dash plates. Entrants registering in advance get a $5 discount. Register online at http://harrisonruritanclub.webs.com/2018carshow.htm. There is no charge to spectators.

Trophies will be awarded to the top five entries in the 21 classes. Seven specialty trophies will be given for Best Paint, Best Engine, Best Interior, Best Tire and Wheel, Best Club Participation, Most Unique and the Best of Show.

All proceeds help fund Ruritan projects such as college scholarships, student citizenship awards and support of the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department.
