Lady Flames report

The Lady Flames won 24 games last season and advanced to the NCAA Division II national tournament second round. They already have one exhibition under their belts, defeating NAIA Faulkner 90-59 on Saturday by dominating all aspects of the game. Lee shot 47 percent from the field, made 11 3-pointers, forced 21 turnovers and scored 38 points off those turnovers.

Key matchup

Tonight will be a good test for the Mocs in a number of ways. Lee will come into the game more experienced at a number of places – the Mocs could start as many as three sophomores – and Lee coach Marty Rowe’s teams are well-prepared. To get the Katie Burrows coaching era started with a win, the Mocs will have to limit turnovers and defend the 3-pointer well.
