While the details will vary, the reality remains constant: patients in need, especially those admitted to a hospital through the emergency department, often do not have clothes or shoes when they are discharged from care. To address that critical concern, Erlanger Health System has established the Compassion Closet to ensure patients leave the hospital in attire that supports their dignity, comfort, and health.

Thank you to Signal Mountain’s Hamilton Group Realtors that gave the hospital a donation to launch this endeavor. Showing a patient that type of respect can be as simple as a new pair of shoes and pants.

Thank you,

Compassion Closet Committee
