Former Baylor School and University of Georgia golfer Keith Mitchell is among the five nominees for PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.

The 26-year-old Mitchell had four top-10 finishes this season, placed 67th in the final FedEx Cup standings and earned slightly more than $1.64 million. Also nominated for the PGA Tour's top rookie are Aaron Wise, Austin Cook, Satoshi Kodaira and Joaquin Niemann.

"Achieving what I have has been incredible," Mitchell said earlier this month, "and it's a great steppingstone for next season."

Wise is favored to win the award, having placed 24th in the FedEx Cup standings and having won May's AT&T Byron Nelson Classic in Dallas. Cook also was a winner, capturing the RSM Classic in Sea Island, Georgia, last November, and finished 38th in the FedEx Cup standings.

The winner of the award will be determined by a vote of PGA Tour members who played in at least 15 official money events during the 2017-18 season. Voting will close Oct. 1, and the recipient will be announced a few days later.

Also up for a vote is the PGA Tour Player of the Year, with Brooks Koepka, Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, Bryson DeChambeau and Francesco Molinari comprising the six nominees for that award. Koepka won the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship this season, while Rose is ranked No. 1 in the world and won the FedEx Cup playoffs to pocket $10 million.
