Rap has no place in country music and more letters to the editors

We don’t need rap influence in country music. Country is the music of an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay. Rap is not.

They speak some words to a melody they stole from someone else and call it a song.

How many country artists have been murdered because they “disrespected” another artist? None that I can think of. Country music does not promote violence and crime. My grandfather and great-uncle are recorded in the Library of Congress. Don’t disrespect them by letting rappers destroy country music.

TFP’s gun violence series is good journalism

I would like to compliment the TFP staff on their comprehensive reporting of the astronomical costs and far-reaching ramifications of gun violence.

I can only hope that residents of Chattanooga (and vicinity) took the time to read the researched data that makes crystal clear where many dollars – which could be shared with equally urgent humanitarian issues – are channeled to the chaos and requisite demands of gun control.

Democrats’ hatred knows no bounds

The hatred and harassment of the president and his family for the last few years was nonstop and relentless. Now with this new report, will there be any apologies? It seems the left is furious that it didn’t go their way. Instead of admitting they are wrong, they still want to investigate Trump.

When Obama was president I couldn’t wait for his term to come to an end. As an American I bow to no one but God. I did not hate Obama but prayed for him often.

McCain: light; Trump: dark

American citizens are witnessing a former draft avoider president (four times college, and one for alleged “bad feet”) attack a deceased senator unable to defend himself and war hero who, while suffering permanent injuries from torture in enemy custody, responded courageously, refusing to be released until all prisoners held captive were.

While many regard Trump as living and performing darkly, faithful John McCain, having departed this life through the mercy of God, rests in peace with light perpetual shining upon him.
