The Ooltewah Harrison Education Foundation (known as D9 for District 9) has been helping students in this area for several years. It's a parent-powered, grassroots organization that was started to help enrich the educational and developmental opportunities for the Ooltewah-Harrison elementary public school students.

Each year, this nonprofit group has several fundraisers that enable these parents to give back to each school in their district. Parents hope their children will see how hard work and dedication for a cause truly pays off.
