The recent arrest of the transgender person and the resulting placement in the county jail after arrest should not be the issue here.
The real issue here should be what makes you think that you have the right to unlawfully block a city street? And what makes you think you have the right to disobey a lawful police order to remove yourself from the street?
So here’s a thought. Don’t break the law, get yourself arrested and thrown in jail. This is a simple solution and shouldn’t be difficult for anyone to understand.

Value of human life under assault
Let’s get this straight.
Some states have made it legal to take the life of a fully developed, healthy baby, if it is a mother’s choice to do so. Then we have another “right” where assisted suicides are acceptable for killing off some of our older people.
The next question I have is, what’s next? It would not surprise me one second for some left-winged radical to offer the same thing two former kings did, Pharaoh and Herod, who killed all babies who were under 2 years old. Will this be the next great act of our new society?
Before you say it could never happen, just remember that there was a celebration like you have never seen before when the governor of New York signed a law authorizing a mother to take the life of her baby even it it was a perfect, full-term child, totally at her discretion.
May God have mercy on us is all I can say.

NBC news hosts need to stick to just the facts
If the hosts on the “Today” show want to voice their personal opinions about race and women, then why don’t they voice their opinion about the abortion laws that New York just passed? I know why – because they know they would lose a lot of viewers.
They should keep the stories and news on television and their personal opinions to themselves. They should not be voicing their personal opinions on air. The “Today” show is going down the drain fast.

Plenty, including the failure to teach civics in too many schools, the absence of models of civility in public life, teaching respect for others, even when one disagrees with their position, and the 24/7 news cycle and social media, which allow anyone to say anything negative, and spew falsehoods with little, if any, consequences.”
