This Thursday evening, Cleveland’s Museum Center at 5ive Points is hosting a special gallery tour with Lookout Mountain artist Alan Shuptrine. In addition to being treated to wine and hors d’oeuvres, attendees will have the chance to help celebrate the culmination of a personal dream. Following in the footsteps of his father – whose coffee table book, “Jericho: The South Beheld,” was nominated for a Pulitzer prize – Shuptrine determined to create his own coffee table book to pay tribute to Appalachian Mountain culture. The resultant 60-piece exhibit, “Appalachian Watercolors of the Serpentine Chain,” has had a successful two-year museum tour which concludes Thursday. For reservations ($15 for non-museum members), visit http://www.museumcenter.org/calendar-1/2019/1/17/shuptrine-gallery-walk.
