The new Chevy Blazer, echoing a popular 20th-century SUV nameplate, blazes back to life with vigor in 2019, 50 years after the truck-based Chevy K5 Blazer first hit American roads in 1969.
The 2019 Blazer is a two-row, five-passenger crossover with an available 308-horsepower V-6 engine that has a max trailering capacity of 4,500 pounds. It has a sporty stance and sexy body work set atop four, 21-inch pearl nickle-aluminum wheels.
You might have seen the television commercial in which both soccer moms and dads drool over a new red Blazer. In contrast, our tester, provided by the manufacturer for a one-week tryout, is Graphite Metallic with a two-tone, black-and-maple sugar interior. If a red Blazer is sexy, a black one looks fierce.
