Taxpayers of Hamilton County, rise up. Protest the proposed tax increase. Call the mayor and your county commissioner and tell them to vote “no” on a tax increase for a poorly managed school system.
Rutherford County and Knox County already operate their similar systems cheaper than Hamilton County, and our system is asking for even more. Where does it stop? Poor management costs all of us who pay taxes. Don’t burden us even more.

Learn SBC basics before reporting
Those who write about the Southern Baptist Convention should learn a few things before making sweeping statements. The SBC is not a “church,” as in the Catholic Church. The SBC is a denomination, a voluntary, cooperating fellowship of like-minded congregations. Each church associated with the SBC is independent of any institutional structure of the SBC. Each church is self-governed with a congregational-style polity.
