A section of Five Points Road in Chickamauga, Ga., will be closed to through traffic Monday through Friday of next week, a news release from Walker County public relations director Joe Legge states.
Utility crews will close Five Points between Hamel Drive and Johnson Road from 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. each day to replace 2-inch water lines with 6-inch water mains to accommodate more fire hydrants, according to the release.
The work must be done before Five Points Road is resurfaced later this year.
