One lane of Signal Mountain Boulevard/US-127 will be closed starting Tuesday, March 5, as a Tennessee Department of Transportation team performs drilling work, according to a TDOT news release.

The lane will be closed near mile 15.3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for about three days, the release states.

Flaggers will help control traffic. Drivers are urged to be patient and watch for workers and equipment while driving through the area.

TDOT’s geotechnical engineering section will be gathering information to prepare plans for repairing the slope. A total of 19 soil borings will be completed during the project, according to the release.
