Spring has sprung and that means the Chattanooga River Market is back!
Every Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the open-air market sets up at the Tennessee Aquarium Plaza, with vendors offering wares that range from local art to woodworks, apparel and more.
And speaking of spring-related things to do tomorrow, Tennessee State Parks is hosting “Spring Hike Day,” when a number of nearby parks will offer a range of free, guided hikes for all skill levels.
Or, if spooky is more your scene, you might want to check out Ruby Falls’ haunted Halloween town, Dread Hollow, which is rising for two Saturdays this month (tomorrow and the 30th) and daring the brave to spend “scream break” there.
And one more story: Starbucks says it plans to test both recyclable and compostable cups over the next year. Didn’t know those coffee cups weren’t already recyclable? Check out this story we published last November, which uncovers the surprising truth about some trash.
