Bram, a dual-purpose narcotics and tracking dog donated to the Calhoun (Georgia) Police Department in 2013, has officially retired from service, a news release states.
He was donated by the Rabun County (Georgia) Sheriff’s Office and handled by Officer Jake Holley.
Bram has tracked and apprehended violent felons, located illegal drugs and operated with the military, according to the release.
“However, one of his most important functions is his innate ability to be social,” Calhoun police Chief Tony Pyle said. “The K9 program helps promote a positive relationship between the police and public because everyone wants to pet the K9.”
