With Chattanooga’s rapid growth comes consistent roadwork. With roadwork comes closures, detours and other traffic changes that may impact your commute.
Below, we list some of the most notable closures and other changes beginning or scheduled to end in December 2019, according to the Chattanooga Department of Transportation, so you can best plan your routes.
Changes beginning in December:
7th Street: Part of West 7th Street between Chestnut Street and Broad Street will be closed on Dec. 1 for crane work.
Cassandra Smith Road: A single lane will be closed on Cassandra Smith Road in Hixson from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. daily between Dec. 3 and Dec. 6.
