Deacon Bluz performs on the Bessie Smith Hall Stage at the Bessie Smith Strut in 2015.Deacon Bluz and The Blue Goose Hollow Krew are the featured artists Friday, Oct. 4, as part of the River City Sessions series presented in conjunction with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Cadek Hall, 725 Oak St.
Bluz said the band will "sing, tell some stories, tell a few lies and ... there may be a sermon, a joke, a work song and maybe a field holler."
Joining him will be Dr. Sandra "Sana Blue" Foster and Larry "Possum" Hudson.
The show is at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $10.
