GIF, which refers to a computer graphic, is actually pronounced “jiff,” like the peanut butter. The proper way to pronounce croissant, as in the French pastry, is “kwah-SAHNT or kwah-SAHWN.”
And finally, the super trendy acai berry? That’s actually pronounced “ah-sigh-EE.”
